Clarissa Cocozzella, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
Claire grew up in Craig, CO. She attended the University of Northern Colorado where she received a bachelor degree in Human Services. She pursed career opportunities at a residential treatment facility and as the Executive Director of Northwest Colorado Dental Coalition in Craig. She has a deep passion for helping others. She was first introduced to acupuncture as a teen and then again after college.
Claire was drawn to the way Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treated all aspects of a person. TCM treats the individual as a whole, this includes addressing lifestyle, nutrition along with treating by acupuncture, herbal medicines and other modalities. Claire believes that healing involves all aspects of a person. This medicine aligned beautifully with how she wanted to pursue helping others.
Claire earned her Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine. After completing a series of national board exams through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) she was eligible to practice acupuncture and herbal medicine in the state of Colorado.
Claire enjoys treating patients of all backgrounds and a variety of cases. She treats cases of pain, insomnia, digestion, gynecology, anxiety, immunity and general health and wellness. After moving back home to Craig, she opened Prosper Acupuncture & Internal Medicine.
